[Harp-L] Short piece with RP250 patch for Shure 545

Hi all,

Because the Digitech RP250 is a computer audio interface as well as an amp modeler, I've been recording little solo pieces as I go along developing patches. Today I took one of those solos--a piece I played in second position on an A harp using the RP250 and the Shure 545 mic--and put a rhythm section behind it. You can hear the results at:

The piece is about 30 seconds long. Like I said, the harmonica part is recorded right off the RP. All I did to the harp part in the mix is roll off some low end EQ, standard operating procedure for anything in the mix besides bass.

I think this is a pretty hellacious amped harp sound. The low midrange punch from the Shure mic coming through that thing is amazing. (Lot of energy around 200-250 hZ, which is the fat zone for amped harp.) I'll be putting out a few more pieces like this in the next week or so--I think you get a better idea of what the RP250 is all about when you hear the sounds in context.

I've enlisted a few harp players I know to beta test the patchset. If you're interested in beta testing, please advise via email offlist.

Enjoy.
